TL;DR: Season One — The Forgetting — is complete. All 12 campfires in the world are lit. Two new guide articles just went up. Season Two is being planned, but nothing about it is built yet.
Season One is done
Every campfire in The Forgetting is lit. All 12 soul lanterns along the path in NetherCon's interactive world are playable, start to finish. If you've been working your way through them one at a time, this is the week you can finally say you finished the whole thing.
That's not a small milestone. Twelve campfires, built one at a time, now form one complete story you can walk through start to end. Thank you to everyone who's been lighting them along the way.
Two new guides this week
Two fresh articles went up on the site this week:
- Lighting a Nether Base — What Actually Keeps Mobs Away (and What Doesn't) — a practical guide to what lighting does and doesn't protect you from in the Nether, including why piglins don't care how bright your bastion run is.
- Run a Backyard Nether Scavenger Hunt — a real-world, no-screen party activity built around the Nether items and mobs you already know.
Both are up now and ready to read. If you want the fundamentals first, the Complete Nether Guide is still the best starting point on the site.
What's next: Season Two
Season Two is in early planning. That's the honest status — there's no release date yet, and nothing about it is built or playable. What we can say is that finishing Season One gave us a much clearer idea of what worked in The Forgetting and what we want to do differently next time.
When there's something real to show, it'll show up here first — not before.
See you in the Nether
If you haven't walked through all 12 campfires yet, this week's a good week to finish. And if you have, go read one of the new guides and let us know what you build with it.
There's no comments section here and no forum — this weekly post is where the site talks back. If something changes, gets fixed, or gets built, this is where it'll be announced first.
Nethercon — practical guides for players who want to understand the Nether, not just survive it.
