Plain-language summary: Some links on Nethercon are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. We only link to things we genuinely think are useful. Commission never determines what we recommend.

This disclosure is required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) under its guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). We provide it here in full, and we also note affiliate relationships inline near relevant links and product recommendations throughout the site.

FTC Affiliate Disclosure

Nethercon participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that when you click certain links on this site and complete a qualifying purchase or action, we receive a small commission from the seller or platform. The price you pay is not affected — you pay the same whether or not you arrive via our link.

Affiliate links are used to help support the cost of running the site — hosting, audio production, and the time it takes to create content. Without some form of revenue, free content for families would not be sustainable.

We attempt to clearly indicate affiliate links near the point of use. Common indicators include the label "(affiliate link)," "(we may earn a commission)," or a small disclosure note at the top of articles that contain them.

Affiliate Programs We Participate In

Amazon Associates

Nethercon is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

We may link to Minecraft merchandise, books, LEGO sets, gaming peripherals, or other products available on Amazon that we believe are relevant to our audience.

Hosting and Software Companies

We may participate in affiliate programs offered by web hosting providers, server hosting companies (including Minecraft server hosts), and software tools relevant to gamers and content creators. If an article or resource guide recommends a hosting service, that recommendation may include an affiliate link. We disclose this inline in those articles.

Gumroad

We may use Gumroad to sell or distribute original digital products (such as printable worksheets, activity guides, or audio packs). Gumroad processes payments on our behalf. If we link to other creators' Gumroad products as an affiliate, that will be disclosed at the point of the link.

Other programs

We may add or remove affiliate relationships over time as the site evolves. This page will be updated when material new programs are added. If you have a question about a specific link or product recommendation, email [email protected].

Editorial Independence

Our commitment. Affiliate commissions do not determine what we recommend. We do not include a product simply because it earns a higher commission. We do not exclude a product because there is no affiliate program available.

Our content — articles, guides, lore, audio stories — is created based on what we believe is useful, accurate, and entertaining for kids who love Minecraft and the Nether. We are a small independent site, not a shopping comparison engine.

When we link to a product or service, it is because we have evaluated it and believe it is genuinely relevant to our readers. If we have received a product for free for review purposes, we will disclose that in the article. If we have a paid sponsorship relationship with a brand, we will label that content as "sponsored."

We do not publish sponsored content disguised as editorial content. We do not allow sponsors to approve or edit article text. Sponsored content, when it exists, is clearly labeled.

How to Identify Affiliate Links on This Site

We use ThirstyAffiliates to manage and cloak affiliate links. Affiliate links typically resolve through a redirect before reaching the final destination. You can check any link by hovering over it — if the URL contains "/recommends/" or a similar redirect path, it is likely an affiliate link.

Articles that contain multiple affiliate links include a disclosure notice at the top. Individual product callouts that use affiliate links are labeled inline.
